Our students discussed with their teachers about the events of October 28, 1940 as well as the importance of the struggle of the Greeks for themselves and for the whole world. The Greek resistance led to Germany’s defeat in Russia, which eventually ended the war. The Greeks fought with pride and heroism. Their epic and heroic struggle in the mountains of Pindos in the name of freedom and dignity remains in history as a point of reference and honor, especially for us younger.
