Last Saturday, March 5th, our Greek School PTA sponsored this year’s Apokriatiko Glendi in the church Social Hall. The evening was filled will delicious food, dancing and fun!
During the event we had the opportunity to enjoy our students dancing traditional dances and the famous “γαϊτανάκι” (Gaitanaki), a Greek folk dance from Thessaly, Greece in which the dancers are holding one of the twelve ribbons (representing the twelve months) hanging from a wooden poll and dance around it.
