Sunday Highlights: Sunday School Christmas Pageant 2017
Philoptochos "Hats and Gloves for the Homeless" sale
The Philoptochos had a very successful Hats & Gloves for the Homeless sale after liturgy today. We sold more than 100 sets of scarves, hats and gloves that will be distributed this Thursday during our Soup Run. We thank the Knitting for Charity group for knitting and crocheting the beautiful items.
Young Adult Ugly Sweater Party
Last night, Fr. Patrick and Presvytera Jessica hosted an "Ugly Sweater" party at their home for the young adults of the community.
GOYA Lock-In 2017
Last Friday, our GOYA held its annual Lock-In. The Lock-In is an overnight mini-retreat, and this year it was led by Greg Gounardes and Maria Pappas. Both are employees of the Archdiocese and long-time Camp Saint Paul Staff. 20 GOYAns participated in fun, games, Orthodox Life sessions, assembling hygiene kits for the monthly Soup Run, and a candle-lit Small Compline at 1 AM!
Greek Youth Orchestra Christmas Concert
On Sunday, December 10, we were presented with a beautiful concert of American and Greek Christmas songs, played by the very talented Westchester Country Greek Youth Orchestra. Once again, we thank all of the members of the Orchestra for their dedication, their parents for their encouragement, and especially Mr. Thanos Kokkalas for teaching these musicians and leading the orchestra. BRAVO!
Many Years Fr. Nick!
On the occasion of the feast of Saint Nicholas, we express our heartfelt best wishes and Χρόνια Πολλά to our own Fr. Nick, and we pray that our Lord continue to bless him and his family for many years. Happy Name Day!
