The Philoptochos had a very successful Hats & Gloves for the Homeless sale after liturgy today. We sold more than 100 sets of scarves, hats and gloves that will be distributed this Thursday during our Soup Run. We thank the Knitting for Charity group for knitting and crocheting the beautiful items.
Greek Youth Orchestra Christmas Concert
On Sunday, December 10, we were presented with a beautiful concert of American and Greek Christmas songs, played by the very talented Westchester Country Greek Youth Orchestra. Once again, we thank all of the members of the Orchestra for their dedication, their parents for their encouragement, and especially Mr. Thanos Kokkalas for teaching these musicians and leading the orchestra. BRAVO!

Sunday School commenced this morning with an Agiasmo (Blessing of the Waters) for a happy, healthy and productive new school year.
A Bittersweet Farewell
Pauline and George Marinos were presented with an icon of the Virgin Mary by Fr. Nick at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy this morning as they bid farewell to our parish after serving the church in many capacities over the last 40 years. The Marinos' will reside in Florida.
Happy Birthday Fr. Nick
Wishing Fr. Nicholas all of God's blessings on the occasion of his birthday today. A birthday cake was shared with the community during the Agape hour. Χρόνια Πολλα!
Vespers for the Dormition in Danbury
Fr. Nick and Fr. Patrick participated in Vesper Services on Monday evening, August 14th on the eve of the Falling Asleep of the Virgin Mary at the Church of the Assumption in Danbury, CT.
Chrismation of Guilia Friscia
Guilia Friscia, the daughter of Tom and Eleni Friscia, was welcomed into the Orthodox Church by Chrismation on Sunday, July 2nd. May God bless Guilia and her family.
Greek Children's Orchestra Performs
Fr. Nick welcomed the Westchester County Greek Orchestra, under the direction of Thanos Kokkalas, who performed a concert in the Social Hall during the Agape coffee hour sponsored by the Skubas family.
